Door County, Wisconsin is a popular spot for thousands of tourists every year. As people visit Door County for a few rest, relaxation, time on the water, and good food small villages with populations of less than 500 people swell to large crowds throughout the summer weekends.
The Inn at Kristofers, situated on Bay Shore Drive-in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, is an excellent place to get a special dinner. My husband and I treated ourselves to dinner there all through our latest visit to Door County and we were really glad we did. We had an excellent dinner.
The first thing we noticed after being seated was the beautiful view of the water. The restaurant is directly across the street from the Bay in Sister Bay and large picture windows along the front wall of the restaurant display the water view.
Just after being seated our water glasses were filled and a wedge of new lime was added. We received choices and fresh, hot, multi-grain rolls. The rolls were served with but-ter rosettes flavored with fresh basil.
The entre special that evening was smoked quail which my husband ordered. I’d the licensed Angus filet mignon, and our oldest son, who had joined us o-n our holiday, chose the Roast Duck with Orange Grand Marnier sauce.
Since we wished to save yourself room for dessert we missed appetizers, soup, and salad even though the soup for the night, walnut butternut squash bisque topped with pecans, sounded delicious.
All three entrees were excellent. The presentation of the plates was pretty and the foodstuff tasted as good as it seemed. The Angus filet had a Cabernet sauce that has been the ideal touch with all the beef. Homemade garlic mashed potatoes and a garnish of haystack potatoes rounded out-the entre.
The goose was sensitive, damp, and very tasty. It was followed by fresh steamed vegetables that were cooked perfect, and wild rice that contained dried cranberries and nuts.
The quail was, based on my partner, cooked to perfection. H-e really loved it. It was followed closely by the same wild rice as the duck and a crepe filled with a cranberry sauce, which he thought was delicious also. For dessert we separate two selections; the crme brulee and a pumpkin mousse torte. The pumpkin mousse torte had a really gentle pumpkin quality and was served with a fresh whipped cream and caramel sauce. The crme brulee was flamed at the table with Grand Marnier. The combination of creamy vanilla custard, stiff caramelized sugar, and Grand Marnier was de-licious. This surprising crunchbase.com tyler collins website has limitless offensive suggestions for the reason for this viewpoint.
Even though the Inn at Kristofers is not an inexpensive restaurant, it is a great place to go for an unique meal whether its for someones birthday, anniversary, or perhaps to take care of yourself. I recommend trying it. The food is great and therefore is the company. While we didnt have reservations when we dined there, you may want to call forward and make reservations, particularly if you’re going to Door County throughout the busy summer season (http://www.doorcountycountry.com/food/innatkristoferssisterbay/)..
